My First Blog Post

Our move to Hereford

New Home, New Adventures, New Memories…

2020 started with a bit of chaos for our little family, when removals arrived in Dorset on 2nd January. As you can imagine New Years Day was spent in a blur of trying to entertain the over-tired toddler whilst packing up the last bits we needed for the move, luckily we paid for a full pack by the removal company so we weren’t trying to squeeze our lives into boxes.

The move into our new home the next day was a lot more relaxed, toddler with his grandparents and the removal men definitely make getting everything into a house seem like an art form. With the help of family we managed to get little-mans bedroom all sorted before his usual ‘night-nights’ time of 7pm and we were able to contemplate our new lives in Herefordshire.

This is my first attempt at a blog, hopefully to force me to note down our memories morefor little one and to highlight how wonderful Herefordshire is for families as we discover new places ourselves.

Weekends to work for

As a working mum I often feel guilty that my toddler doesn’t get enough time with me as he should.

When I decided to work full time it was on the basis that we would live weekends to the full, and not just spend them keeping the house clean and tidy ready for non existent visitors.

This weekend we got out to some lovely local venues.

Saturday morning breakfast was enjoyed at JJs and Little Dots on bridge street. Having a lovely play area in the cafe made for a relaxed experience. Taking a toddler out for food can be difficult, for us at least, he doesn’t like to sit still and doesn’t understand that other people don’t always want to be his friend. The food was delicious and great value for money. We will definitely be back.

Sunday morning we took our little boy to a football lesson with First Steps Footy, he had lessons in Dorset before we moved and was doing really well so it was a wrench having to pull him out of those so finding another suitable class was a must. He loved his first lesson with First Steps Footy and got stuck straight in. The coaches were great with him and another good find for our family.

Hereford really does have a lot for our family and we can’t wait to find more ways to fill our weekends

Just the three of us

Mummy, daddy and toddler makes 3…

Our little family has lived all over the place, daddy’s job and mummy’s itchy feet has meant we’ve moved lots already.

This is hopefully our last move of area, and if mummy gets her way, after the stress of buying and selling this year, the last ever move!

The blog is to help us document and share our adventures in Herefordshire.
